It is not as intense as the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and it only has a 38″ height requirement. This attraction is a lot of fun, but it is still family friendly for those with children a little older. It is unfortunately not able to operate in heavy rain. While being outside has its advantages, such as being able to speed across Toy Story Land, it does occasionally cause issue for this ride. Audio-Animatronic Wheezy the Penguin Singing His Lounge Singer Rendition of “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” At The End Of Slinky Dog Dash When they are done on their mad dash trip, guests are brought into the brake run area, where they are serenaded by an audio-animatronic Wheezy the Penguin while waiting to get out. In the middle of the ride, Slinky Dog slows to a stop before giving guests the warning to “Hold on” and then launching up another hill. This ride is also Disney’s first ever double-launch roller coaster. If guests pay close attention, this ride will also show all of the original boxes for Andy’s toys, which is another fun experience to note. Guests will dash over hills at top speed while taking in the view of the rest of the land. The story behind the attraction is that Andy built the roller coaster himself using a “Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Kit” but instead used Slinky Dog as the vehicle. As with everything in Toy Story Land, Slinky Dog Dash is based on the Toy Story films. The second roller coaster in Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash is relatively new, having opened on Jwith the rest of Toy Story Land.
